Prosperity isn’t just about creating more jobs or attracting more investment. It’s about whether the systems around people and communities actually allow them to succeed.

UNB’s Pond-Deshpande Centre works on those systems: how people move from education into work, how local businesses adapt and grow, how communities finance the things they need, how governments solve problems across silos, how research gets put to use, and how locally rooted enterprises create economic and social value.

We identify where those systems aren’t working, bring together the people who can change them, and help build and test better ways forward.

The result we’re after is simple: more of Atlantic Canada’s people, ideas, businesses and resources translating into lasting prosperity in the places we call home.

NouLAB

Using social innovation processes and tools, we introduce new approaches to long-standing problems. Working in collaboration with multisectoral participants, we explore and develop promising interventions together.

Through key partnerships regionally and nationally, we provide top-tier support to social entrepreneurs and founders to launch, grow and scale their organizations.

As part of the University of New Brunswick, we convene partners, mobilize evidence and lived experience, and turn ideas into action on complex challenges.
